Question: In a large apartment building or office building scenario, when the number of alarm devices is large, will channel interference problems occur?

Answer: Channel interference will occur when the number of accessories is large, such as more than 200 accessories. However, a single hub of our alarm system stipulates an upper limit of 150 for accessories, which limits the generation of interference from the number of devices. Second, Dahua  Wireless Alarm System uses a frequency hopping mechanism to divide the spectrum space into multiple available channels. When a channel is restricted, it automatically jumps to other channels to ensure smooth communication.

Question: How often does the alarm host check whether the accessories are online?

Answer: The time interval for the alarm hub to detect the online status of the accessory is called the heartbeat time. The heartbeat time can be set in the DMSS, see following pictures, and the default is once every minute. If the accessory signal is not received 3 times, the cloud will push the accessory disconnection information to DMSS.
